Today in the U.S.A., it is Memorial Day. Memorial Day is a federal holiday observed annually in the United States on the last Monday of May. Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. (Thank you to Wikipedia).
There are many in my family that have had the Honor of Serving our country. Myself, included. I am a Veteran of the United States Air Force. My Father, the Navy. Several other members of the family, the Army. I have many friends, class-mates, and such that also entered into the Military. For some of us, it was the world we were brought up in.
Someone once wrote, Soldiers offer an unsigned check with our lives for America that is payable up to our lives! A lot of our Military have lost their lives fighting for our Freedom.
Today is to dedicated to remembering and never forgetting. But at the same token of the Military members who have lost their lives fighting for our freedom, the families should be thought about too.
But I think to me, today is remembering all of the War’s and all of those who lost their lives, so that I can live in Freedom. So with that being said.
Thank you to all those who have served, past, present and future. It is a truly an Honor.
